How The Grid Report uses AI tools

AI tools are used as part of the workflow, but they are not treated as the source of truth.

The Grid Report uses AI tools for parts of the editorial workflow including outlining, drafting assistance, SEO phrasing checks, formatting help, workflow automation, and distribution support. AI may also be used to help structure visual ideas or summarize research paths that still need source verification.

What AI can do here

Outline a story, pressure-test framing, draft copy from source notes, help package newsletter or social versions, and support repetitive publishing tasks.

What AI cannot replace

Primary-source verification, final factual responsibility, editorial judgment, and the decision about whether a story is ready to publish.

If an article uses AI-generated or AI-assisted visuals beyond routine editing or formatting, that should be labeled where appropriate. The default editorial standard is that published claims must still be traceable to verifiable evidence, not merely to model output.
